News release for the volunteer recruitment (Aylesbury Event)

The world is currently faced with a number of colossal struggles such as global warming, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the recent credit crunch. Another burning universal issue, affecting millions of people across the world that gets little publicity is, forced marriages.

Save Your Rights campaign is committed to ending forced marriages in Aylesbury Vale, that rob people of their basic human rights. We are organising various activities to raise awareness about the dire consequences of forced marriages.

We are urging like-minded people from all walks of life and from across all our communities to support our work to put an end to this inhuman practice, and help us to build a brighter future.

In Aylesbury (SYR) are going to launch a mass campaign in September, followed by a Debate and Seminar. We need your support to help us to organise this event or to join our campaigning team raising awareness in schools, the college and with the public in shopping centre’s and at events.

Why should I give my time to the (SYR)?
There are many reasons to get involved with the project. It is a great opportunity to promote human rights, save many individuals, and build a better community.

Am I the right sort of person?
If you feel passionate about people’s rights and the consequences of forced marriages then this is for you. We will provide you with training to enable you carry out this role. What commitment is needed?we will fit in around your personal commitments and find a role to suit you such as admin, campaigning, event planning or even facebook campaign.
